Editorial Reviews:

Thousands of years ago, the Earth was a battlefield. These were the wars that would shape man's destiny—terrible conflicts that began lifetimes earlier on another planet.

Parting the mists of time and myth, the internationally renowned scholar Zecharia Sitchin takes us back in this volume to the violent beginnings of the human story, when gods—not men—ruled the Earth.

In a spellbinding reconstruction of epic events preserved in legends and ancient writings, he traces the conflicts that began on another world, continued on Earth, and culminated in the use of nuclear weapons—an event recorded in the Bible as the upheaval of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Summary: Too Bad The Bible Isn't This Intersting
Comment: Book III describes the battles of the gods and mankind, their foot soldiers, for the gods' ambitions of power and control. As in the other Earth Chronicle series, the book's basis is backed up by written records, mythology, the Bible and archeological findings.

It includes the building of the pyramids, the sphinx, and how records describe the passages inside Giza and why they were constructed, long before they were discovered by archeologists.

The most fascinating section of the book matches the biblical tale of Abraham with real historical events, and what can only be described as a nuclear bomb dropped on the Sinai peninsula in 2024 b.c., its link to the gods and to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra in the bible.

Like all Sitchin's other books, it forces the reader to look at history in a different perspective, and reassess the accepted paradigm.

Summary: Amazing investigative research
Comment: Zecharia Sitchin did a phenomenal work of research and--something extremely rare--drawing conclusions regarding human prehistory and recorded history. To me, that's the most important aspect of any investigative research: being able to draw pertinent conclusions that help answer major mysteries. Whether a reader is able to accept those deductions and settle his mind is up to him, but Sitchin certainly did his part, with integrity and courage. My only problem is the size of the books! They should not look like pulp fiction novels. This diminishes the importance of their content.

Summary: Armegeddon Prequel
Comment: Sumerian scholar Zechariah Sitchen has opened up early human history with his series created by a blend of Middle-eastern mythology and Biblical reference. In this volume he deals with the roots of war, connecting it to sibling rivalry that repeats itself over many generations and cultures, even to this day. We meet,in detail, the characters of ancient myths, giving flesh to history of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Bible lands and even Mezo-America. He implies that war will never resolve old wrongs and that only forgiveness can hope to bring peace. A brilliant, readable, open-minded work.
